IRON MEN MOVING LLC
MOVING SERVICE AGREEMENT: TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. LICENSING & REGULATIONS
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California and the regulations of the Bureau of Household Goods and Services (BHGS). Services comply with Maximum Rate Tariff No. 4.

2. DOUBLE DRIVE TIME (DDT)
Actual driving time between origin and destination is doubled and billed at the agreed hourly rate per California law. Example: 15 minutes of actual driving time is billed as 30 minutes.

3. BULKY & SPECIALTY ITEMS (Item 164 – Tariff 4)
Autos: $183.83 | Motorcycles: $117.32 | Trailers: $105.47 | Campers: $266.81 | Pianos: $200.00 | Hot Tubs / Sheds: $175.78

4. VALUATION & LIMITED LIABILITY
Liability for loss or damage is limited to $0.60 per pound per article unless additional valuation coverage is purchased prior to the execution of services.

5. PACKING SERVICES & MATERIALS
There is no additional labor fee for packing services; however, the Customer is billed for the hourly duration of packing and the cost of materials used:
• Bubble Wrap: $49 / roll
• Packing Paper: $49 / bundle
• Boxes: Small $4 | Medium $5 | Large $6

6. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
We reserve the right to stop the job and refuse further service if our crew is treated with disrespect, or if conditions are deemed unsafe, unsanitary, or hazardous (including but not limited to: dirty environments, insects, pests, mold, or stale air).

7. PAYMENT TERMS
No checks accepted. Full payment is due upon completion of services. Storage moves or specific long-distance jobs may require prepayment.

8. LABOR LAW & OVERTIME
Overtime rates apply after 8 hours of work in accordance with California Labor Law.

9. PARKING RESPONSIBILITY
The Customer is responsible for securing legal parking at all locations. Any parking tickets, fines, or towing fees incurred while performing services are the sole responsibility of the Customer.

10. EXTERNAL HELP & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Any customer or third-party assistance with loading, unloading, or carrying items is strictly done at their own risk. Customer releases and indemnifies Iron Men Moving LLC from any liability resulting from third-party assistance. Unauthorized persons are not permitted inside the moving truck.

11. LIABILITY EXCLUSIONS & PROTECTION
All furniture items must be padded and shrink-wrapped by our team for safe transport. If the Customer explicitly refuses padding/wrapping services, they must sign a separate Liability Waiver, or the Company reserves the right to cancel the move.

12. SERVICE TIME & MINIMUM CHARGE
Moving time begins when the truck arrives at the origin and stops upon completion of all services (unloading and equipment stowing) at the final destination. All local moving services are subject to a 3-hour minimum charge, regardless of whether the actual job duration is shorter than 3 hours.

13. ENVIRONMENTAL & BIOHAZARD SAFETY (BED BUGS & PESTS)
Iron Men Moving LLC is committed to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, and hygiene for our crew and client property. Upon arrival, if our team identifies the presence or visual evidence of bed bugs, pests, or other biohazardous conditions at either the origin or destination location, we reserve the right to immediately deny or suspend services.

14. HEAVY ITEM SURCHARGE (300+ LBS)
a. Requirement: Any single item, appliance, furniture piece, or equipment weighing 300 lbs or more (e.g., heavy safes, commercial fitness equipment, marble/granite tops, heavy wooden armoires) requires specialized handling equipment and additional labor precautions.
b. Fee Structure: An additional heavy item fee of $200.00 per item will automatically apply to any piece weighing 300 lbs or greater (unless explicitly listed in Section 3).

15. GENERAL EXCLUSIONS
The moving company is not responsible for:
a. Perishable items (spoilage or change in state/flavor).
b. Items damaged due to improper packing by the shipper/customer prior to arrival.
c. Electrical or mechanical derangement of electronics or musical instruments if no exterior physical damage is present.
d. Breakage of fragile items (glass, mirrors, ceramics) unless packed directly by the carrier.
