  • MOVING SERVICE AGREEMENT
    TERMS AND CONDITIONS

    1. LICENSING & REGULATIONS
    This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California and the regulations of the Bureau of Household Goods and Services (BHGS). Services comply with Maximum Rate Tariff No. 4.
    2. DOUBLE DRIVE TIME (DDT)
    Actual driving time between origin and destination is doubled and billed at the agreed hourly rate. Example: 15 minutes billed as 30 minutes.
    3. BULKY & SPECIALTY ITEMS (Item 164 – Tariff 4)
    Autos $183.83 | Motorcycles $117.32 | Trailers $105.47 | Campers $266.81 | Pianos $119.31 | Hot Tubs/Sheds $175.78
    4. VALUATION & LIMITED LIABILITY
    Liability limited to $0.60 per pound per article unless additional valuation is purchased.
    5. PACKING SERVICES & MATERIALS
    There is no additional labor fee for packing services; however, the Customer is billed for the hourly duration and the cost of materials used: Bubble Wrap: $49/roll | Packing Paper: $39/bundle
    Boxes: Small $4 | Medium $5 | Large $6
    6. RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE
    We reserve the right to stop the job and refuse further service if our crew is treated with disrespect or if conditions are deemed unsafe or unsanitary (including but not limited to: dirty environments, insects, pests, mold, or stale air).
    7. PAYMENT TERMS
    No checks accepted. Payment due upon completion. Storage moves may require prepayment.
    8. LABOR LAW & OVERTIME
    Overtime applies after 8 hours per CA law.
    9. PARKING RESPONSIBILITY
    Customer responsible for legal parking and tickets.
    10. EXTERNAL HELP & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
    Any customer or third-party assistance is at their own risk. Customer releases and indemnifies Company. No access to truck unless authorized.
    11. LIABILITY EXCLUSIONS
    All furniture must be padded and shrink-wrapped. If the Customer refuses this service, they must sign a separate Liability Waiver, or the Company may cancel the move.
    12. SERVICE TIME
    Moving time starts when the truck arrives at the origin and stops upon completion of all services (unloading and equipment stowing) at the final destination.
    13. GENERAL EXCLUSIONS
    The moving company is not responsible for:
    a. Perishable items (change in state or flavor).
    b. Items damaged due to improper packing by the shipper...
    c. Electrical/mechanical derangement of electronics or instruments if no exterior damage is present.
    d. Breakage of fragile items unless packed by the carrier
